Example 1 - stepping on the gas
A car accelerates at a rate of 2.5 m/s2 for 8.0s from a speed of 40.0 km/hr. What is the final speed of the car in km/hr?

Example 2 - biking up a hill
Moustapha Jones reaches the bottom of a hill on his bike moving at a speed of 8.0 m/s when his chain breaks. He coasts up the hill until he comes to a stop after 2.5 s. Find his acceleration while on the hill, and the distance he travelled up the hill.
